How to Park a Toy Hauler

If you’ve recently purchased your first toy hauler, you’re likely looking forward to hitting the road and camping out in your amazing new rig for the very first time. However, before you do, it’s important that you know how to safely park, level, and stabilize your model, to ensure you and your rig stay safe and sound throughout the night. Leveling Your Toy Hauler

To level your toy hauler you’ll need to be sure to have a few leveling blocks, ramps, and a bubble level on hand. To begin, first place your bubble level on the floor of your rig facing side to side then forward to back to see which way your model is leaning. Once you know which areas are unlevel, go ahead and place your ramps and level blocks behind those specific tires. Once everything is in place, use your car to carefully pull your toy hauler up onto the level blocks, moving only 2 inches at a time. Once everything is nice and even, go ahead and place your bubble level down one last time to ensure your toy hauler is completely level and doesn’t need any last-minute adjustments.

Stabilizing Your Toy Hauler

Now that your toy hauler is on even ground, it’s time to stabilize your rig! Using two or three car jacks, carefully crank your toy hauler up bit by bit until your model’s tires are off the ground. As you lift your RV, be careful not to crank one car jack much higher than the others, or you’ll risk unbalancing your rig. To check that your model is still level after it’s been stabilized, go ahead and place your bubble level on the floor and make any necessary adjustments to the height of your jacks till the level reads even.
